Technology has been changing at a rapid pace for a very long time. Since the advent of the microprocesser things have been moving forward faster than they have ever been before. Then came the invention of the internet and now information can be accessed from anywhere in the world in moments. If you have a video camera and a fast internet connection, you can talk to someone across the world and see them in real time.
Streaming television has come on the scene and has also changed the way that we entertain ourselves. Streaming high def movies will be mainstream in the near future and you will probably be able to do it on your mobile phone. You will probably be able to stream a high def game and compete with other players online with your mobile phone also.
We now have devices that will allow you to power a household kitchen appliance without a power cord. Instead you have a pad that recieves a wireless signal from a transmitter that powers the device. These will be mainstream in the near future. It won't be long until many average households run with devices like these. It can be fun to try and predict what we will have 20 years from now. Many people have tried to predict our futures and most people were wrong. At this point and time, it is moving so quickly that things could be quite different 20 years from now. We will just have to wait and see.
